Austrian Grand Prix Preview

By Harry Schofield:

This Weekend the Formula 1 Circus travels  from last weekends race in France to the Styrian Mountains in Speilberg, Austria for the 2019 Austrian Grand Prix.

The first severn races were held on a smaller version of the track between 1997 and 2003 known as the A-1 Ring before returning to the renamed Red Bull Ring in 2014.

The Austrian Grand Prix is Held at The Red Bull Ring Circuit, which has hosted a Formula 1 race 12 times.

The Red Bull ring is a 2.683 mile circuit with 10 corners.

The teams have a lot of data from last weekend’s French Grand Prix with similar ambient temperatures, tyre data as ever this weekend will be crucial.

Mercedes was and will be the class of the field for many races to come, Ferrari and Red Bull must bring updates to the circuit this weekend because its getting too late for any fight back.

Ferrari showed so much promise in race simulation’s in last weekends practice sessions, but simply did not deliver.

Sebastian Vettels’s head is not in the right frame of mind, yes he has won World Championships with Red Bull, but is the Ferrari working Environment and the Whole of Italy too much for the German to take on ?

After this weekend we have a week off then straight to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix, very fast high speed corners and long straights such as “Hanger” Mercedes can only deliver even more, Its time for the other teams to step up before its too late.
