Lewis Hamilton topped the time sheets for the first free practice session of the 2019 Formula 1 Grand Prix Season in Melbourne.

Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was 0.038 seconds behind Lewis in a testing session for all the teams.

Its the first time all the teams and drivers have been on the track together in race going trim and its still hard to judge who is fast and who is hiding pace.

It will become more clear in Saturdays qualifying session, when the engines are turned up and fuel levels are low, the drivers will drive the 2019 regulation cars in anger for the first time.

Williams are right down on the time sheets, but expected to improve over the weekend.
