Spanish Grand Prix FP2:
By Harry Schofield
Valtteri Bottas continues his strong presence as he sets the fastest time of FP2 of 1:17.284 with Lewis hamilton right behind him.
Charles Leclerc leads the Ferrari team in 3rd postion with Sebastion Vettel in 4th but remain three tenths away from the Mercedes.
Again this weekend it seems to be who can get the tyres to work properly in the heat window, With Ferrari using a simple blow torch on the brakes as well as tyre blankets to make sure the tyres are closest to the operating temperatures as possible.
With all the million’s of pounds spent on development of engines, chassis and gearboxes it seems that it is a race about tyre temperatures rather than exploring the best engineering and best drivers in the world.
Barcelona brings some interesting results and FP3 tomorrow morning should give us some idea of what race pace the teams have for Sunday .
